When I was approached last December about an anthology called LOVE PAWS, I was thrilled and super-excited to participate for a number of reasons. A sexy story featuring a lovely pet? Check! Six amazing best selling authors involved with the project? Check! All proceeds set to benefit animal charities? Check!
On April 19, LOVE PAWS will be released in celebration of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month (but you can already preorder it if you're too impatient! Links at the end of this post,) and it's time to announce my chosen animal charity as each author will donate her portion of the proceeds to their preferred organization.
The charity of my choice is the LA Animal Services which have been serving the city of LA since 1947 with a vision that the day will come when every pet born has a good home and is cared for all its life. Besides the various programs for pet care, adoption and foster homes, the LA Animal Services also run the SMART team (Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team) which has a 100% save rate since they began using their specialized training, experience and knowledge for rescuing small and large animals in distress.
